Mounting a Fish Finder to Your Rig
Today we will be mounting a Humminbird 561 onto our Fish-N-Ski. We will be using the trolling motor adapter kit which can be purchased for $20 at most any marine parts stores. Materials: Fish finder of choice (Humminbird 561) - $150 Trolling motor adapter kit - $20 Flathead screwdriver Needle nose pliers Steps: Assemble trolling motor adapter kit Place transducer on underside of trolling motor Zip tie wires up shaft of trolling motor Run power cord to positive power source of choice Use mount as template to drill mounting holes Remove slot for cords in mount Connect cords to mounting hardware Slide unit on to mount Test for power
Replacing Your Trolling Motor Pull Cord
On the last trip out my father attempted to lift the trolling motor only to snap the rope and be tossed on the back deck. We will be going over how to replace your rope with a 3/32" wire cord. Materials: 4ft of 3/32" Stainless Steel Cable vinyl coated - $0.36 per foot Steps Remove the remaining rope from mounting point Thread wire through trolling motor, under pulley bar Tie wire to mounting point Tie to handle Test Really all there is to it!

Day three of the Project Poncho build was a day of hard labor, though you may not see it we have spent many hours scraping the aluminum lids until they became spotless, the fiberglass proved to be a different beast entirely.
